  • Labor savings: 80-90%. No exterior prep, and cars can be washed unoccupied.
  • Time: >60% savings, average wash cycle is less than 3 minutes, up to 20+ cars per hour. (Average hand wash 7 to 10 minutes = 6 to 8 CPH.)
  • Retrofit into most existing detail and/or wash bays 15ft wide x 10ft tall x 32ft long. 1 door or 2 door access compatible.
  • 1 door = drive in, back out.
  • 2 door = pull thru.
  • No permits: No additional permits may be required if there is existing pressure washer with water power and drain. Will work with Geo Mat or Parr dry floor system.
  • Conserve resources: Less than 10 gallons of water & approximately 1.2 oz of soap per car.
  • Washes all stock Cars, Pick ups, SUVs, and Vans/Swags up to 7 ft tall.

Site Requirements

Space

15ft wide x 10ft tall x 29 to 32ft long.

1 or 2 door access = same unit.

Legs can accommodate up to 8 inch floor level variation.

Note: Bays less than 32ft may not fully wash all vehicles, minimum length is 28ft 6in. If you are close, but not sure, send us a drawing and we may be able to help you make it fit.

Power

Single phase 220/240 VAC 30 amp circuit 4 wire #10

(possible existing pressure washer circuit). A New GFCI breaker with water resistant box and plug are provided, coordinate with your installer and electrician for location.

Water Supply

Any existing hose bib with 5 gallon a minute flow rate.

Any 1/2 in pipe at 40 PSI (existing pressure washer) will work, we recommend a separate water valve, but a Y split-er on an existing hose bib will work.

Sewer

Existing drain and oil/water separator. If the building is already permitted or set up for pressure washer, in most cases no further modifications or permits are necessary. New construction buildings can use your normal pressure washer numbers / calculations.

Permits

"Portable" and may not require permitting if an existing pressure washer and drain system is present. Some cases may require redoing an existing or adding an electrical outlet.

FAQ

Installation

Time

Installs in about 2 1/2 to 3 days, from unloading truck to washing cars. The typical install starts Tuesday morning and it's up and running by Friday morning, in many cases without completely shutting down the bay for more than a day.

Who

Sensawash does not contract to do installs. We can help to find you a local installer or you can have your existing car wash install company get trained*. Limited on-site training may be available.

Water

The wash uses less than 10 gallons of fresh water per car (on average) with a maximum flow rate of about 4 gallons per minute. There is a pressure regulator on the unit for consistent usage and performance.

Soap

Uses approximately 1.2 oz / 35 ml per car. The precision soap pump is included and is compatible with all soaps. This means a 55 gallon barrel will wash around 7,000 cars, and can be easily adjusted as conditions change. We recommend a “low foam, super concentrate, wash & wax." We do not supply or ship soap, please talk to your local installer for soap sales and service.

Labor and Time Savings

The average cycle time for a vehicle is around 2 min 40 seconds. All that is required is to park the car straight and on the positioning pad, get out, and push the start button. When finished get in and move the car.

Detail Space

The wash is designed to give unobstructed access to the car even when it is parked on the positioning pad, this way you can pull the car in, vacuum, sanitize, detail, and pressure wash if necessary. Then push one of the two available start buttons and wash the car. In most cases the existing pressure washer or vac are not disturbed, leaving the pressure washer intact, allowing for bay cleaning, extreme car cleaning, or backup to the automatic wash.

Longevity

The design from the ground up, is minimal maintenance, and maximum life span. We know the rental car industry, and we know you don't want a machine that has to be constantly maintained. The frame is hot dipped galvanized steel, which has a proven 20 year expected life span. The rest of the machine is stainless steel and aluminum for ultimate life span. All bearings are oversized, and motors and gear boxes are designed to last 4 or 5 times longer than their industry counterparts. Electronics are premium quality, the highest rated available for reliability. The design goal for this unit is 10 years, with only a couple of belt replacements in that time. Service is recommended once per year after initial 3 week break-in and adjustment.

Support

All our units come with a built-in wireless modem and first year of our monitoring and tech support program (MTSP) is included. This allows us to troubleshoot and fix minor items remotely, or have the unit call us for major issues. All units come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty**.

Factory support is available, but in most cases your local installer or maintenance person can take care of anything we can't do remotely. Detailed manuals are included, and additional tech support and monitoring are available.

Wash Quality

With over 20 years in the design and building of all types of car washes, and millions of rental cars washed, we knew what you needed: FAST and CLEAN. We guarantee the cleanest car in the least amount of time in the industry*. We clean all of the car, bumper to bumper, and the front and back twice. Every aspect of the design is maximized for cleaning and eliminating damage. The sensors in the specially designed brushes see antennas, mirrors, and roof racks and move away to reduce pressure and preserve your investment. IE: we don't bend license plates, yet we triple clean them. The brush material was picked for its unique properties: self cleaning, with the least amount of water required to protect the paint; smallest cross section to get into the smallest nooks and crannies, and most aggressive on dirt at the fastest feed rates. Industry experts who have seen our unit operate are amazed at the cleaning power and speed.

Integration

We include many things that our competitors charge for. All options come programmed and pre-wired to an easy-to-access junction box, making future upgrades easy.

We include:

  • Door control logic and output relays with temperature monitoring

  • Freeze control logic, with an available insulation and heat tape option

  • External dryer start contacts

  • External RO start and logic and outputs

  • RO reject water pump start outputs

  • Reclaim system logic and outputs

  • Network capable for connected expansion

Safety

All of our drive systems have internal sensors to detect the actual position of the car and any foreign objects in its path. If the car moves for some reason the system will immediately stop. In the event of collisions or major events the system will call home and report the problem.

Additional Options

  • Extra side splash curtains: Keep sensitive areas completely dry. Mounts on car wash posts and stays within the car wash footprint

  • Entrance and exit retracting curtains for 100% water containment
  • Passenger side utility feed systems. (Driver's side is standard.)
    • Makes installation easier and keeps hoses and wires away from heaters
  • Venting for high ambient temperatures or direct sunlight applications
  • Freeze Protection options: Insulation, heat tape, hose clearing

  • RO (Reverse Osmosis) for Soap and final rinse, with RO reject usage on brush wetters for 100% water usage

  • Rinse Aid/Drying Agent System

  • Drive-ons (Raised Platform): Parr dry floor systems, Geo Mat, or Sensawash.

  • Key switches, locking panels, keypads
  • Reclaim System - Due to the already extreme low water usage, a reclaim system is not recommended for the average install

  • Soap barrel tracking, using an integrated scale to track how much soap you have and when to order more
